Muck Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Muck Operator to join our Waste Management team. You will operate heavy machinery to excavate and remove muck from construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations throughout the process. This physically demanding role requires a strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize heavy machinery to excavate muck effectively.
• Implement and initiate safety measures to prevent workplace accidents.
• Transport muck to approved disposal locations while complying with protocols.
• Perform machinery checks and preventive maintenance.
• Work in unison with site managers and crew members for efficient operations.
• Diagnose and resolve minor machinery issues as they arise.
• Document daily activities and report to the Operations Manager.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization on the worksite.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices for operational efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy machinery

Certifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card

Languages
