Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to bring projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing systems and processes for potential improvements.
• Create and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project progress.
• Work with procurement teams to select materials and components.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management Software

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
