Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist responsible for maintaining and organising patient data accurately. This role involves ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of health information while complying with regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee the filing and storage of patient medical records.
Assist in the transition to digital health record systems.
Evaluate and recommend improvements for health information systems.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to enhance record management.
Support compliance reviews and external audits related to patient data.
Ensure data security measures are in place and effective.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology, or related field
Certification in Health Information Management (e.g., RHIT, RHIA) is preferred
Experience
2+ years of experience in medical records management or health information systems
