Job Description

As a Transportation Planner, you will be integral in addressing transportation challenges in Birmingham. Your expertise will help us create effective transport policies and deliver high-quality service in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current transport systems and recommend improvements.
  • Provide expert advice on transport-related issues and policies.
  • Utilise GIS and transport modelling software for project analysis.
  • Create design specifications for transportation schemes.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development initiatives.
  • Support transport planning workshops and training sessions.
  • Report on key performance indicators related to transport systems.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Masters degree preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation planning or related field
