Job Description

As a Range Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in preserving our natural resources. Your expertise will guide the implementation of conservation strategies, while overseeing the health of vegetation and wildlife in designated ranges.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Range Management Team to establish new conservation initiatives.
  • Assess the impact of grazing activities and recommend necessary changes.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for local landowners on sustainable practices.
  • Utilize GIS technology to map and analyse range conditions.
  • Collect and analyze data on forage production and carrying capacity.
  • Engage with local communities to promote biodiversity and conservation efforts.
  • Develop outreach materials to educate the public on range management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is an asset
Experience
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in range management or similar roles.
