Job Description

As a Game Farm Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare of animals and the upkeep of the farm. You will assist with feeding, monitoring health, and maintaining the cleanliness of the enclosures. This position requires a passion for wildlife and dedication to sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water animals, keeping track of feeding schedules.
• Maintain hygiene standards across farm facilities.
• Monitor animal health, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
• Participate in breeding and health management programmes.
• Maintain and check farm machinery and tools.
• Assist with the construction and maintenance of fencing.
• Help with pest management and monitoring wildlife activity.
• Support the wellbeing of animals through attentive care.
• Collaborate with team members on various projects.
• Document activities and report to management accurately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certifications in animal husbandry are preferred

Experience

• Experience with livestock management and breeding systems is beneficial.

Technical Skills

• Animal Behaviour Observation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Training in animal handling: Formal training in the safe handling of livestock.
