Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Public Health Officer to join our team in Exeter. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting health programs and addressing public health initiatives within the community. Your expertise in epidemiology and health policy will be invaluable in tackling health-related challenges and improving overall community health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage public health campaigns addressing communicable diseases and chronic health issues.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Conduct community surveys to inform health programme development.
  • Engage in public speaking and community outreach to foster health education.
  • Evaluate health programs and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop strategic plans to promote healthy behaviours within the community.
  • Train and supervise junior health staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate records of public health initiatives and outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is an asset
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health administration or management
