Job Description

We seek a Relief Master skilled in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels during relief voyages. The successful candidate will maintain communication with our onshore team and adhere to all relevant maritime regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assume command and responsibility for the vessel during relief periods.
  • Communicate with relevant authorities, including port and maritime agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and shipping policies.
  • Supervise crew members and ensure proper execution of duties.
  • Implement and oversee effective training for junior officers.
  • Collaborate with the vessel's technical team to resolve any issues.
  • Review and update navigational plans as necessary.
  • Ensure efficient cargo operations during loading and unloading.
  • Conduct performance reviews and assessments of crew members.
  • Lead the vessel’s emergency response during any maritime incidents.

Requirements

Education
  • Master Mariner Certificate or equivalent qualification
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in maritime operations
