Water Meter Reader

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible Water Meter Reader to join our team. You will be tasked with accurately recording water consumption data from both residential and commercial properties, ensuring our records are up-to-date and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a schedule of meter readings and site visits.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry practices.
• Prepare reports on water meter performance and issues encountered.
• Promote awareness of water conservation methods to customers.
• Support the integration of new technology in data collection.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driving license

Experience

• Experience in a similar utility or field-based role is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with handheld devices

Soft Skills

• Customer service skills
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in a similar utility role: Previous field experience in utility-related work will be beneficial.
• Knowledge of water metering systems: Understanding of how water meters operate and common issues.
