Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cargo and Freight Agent to efficiently coordinate transportation operations while ensuring timely movement of goods. This role includes meticulous record-keeping and effective communication with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate logistics for multiple shipments.
• Ensure all freight documentation is processed accurately and timely.
• Develop relationships with freight partners for better rates and service.
• Analyze transportation routes and suggest improvements.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting transportation costs.
• Conduct training sessions for new transportation staff.
• Monitor service providers to ensure compliance with agreements.
• Facilitate communication between drivers and dispatchers.
• Evaluate transportation methods for efficiency.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Relevant logistics certification is preferred

Experience

• Experience using transportation management software is a plus.
