Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations and physical examinations on animals.
  • Perform surgeries and dental procedures.
  • Manage anaesthesia and post-operative care.
  • Educate pet owners on nutrition, behaviour, and preventive care.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of surgical and treatment areas.
  • Collaborate with animal care assistants to ensure high standards of care.
  • Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Monitor and manage the wellbeing of patients in recovery.
  • Contribute to the practice's growth and community outreach efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Veterinary Science or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in veterinary surgery
