Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct consultations and physical examinations on animals.
Perform surgeries and dental procedures.
Manage anaesthesia and post-operative care.
Educate pet owners on nutrition, behaviour, and preventive care.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of surgical and treatment areas.
Collaborate with animal care assistants to ensure high standards of care.
Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Actively participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Monitor and manage the wellbeing of patients in recovery.
Contribute to the practice's growth and community outreach efforts.
Requirements
Education
Degree in Veterinary Science or related field
Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery preferred
Experience
5+ years of experience in veterinary surgery
