Vessel Master

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Vessel Master to oversee the safe navigation and operations of our vessels. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the marine industry and a proven track record of leading successful teams in challenging offshore environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the navigation of vessels and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Conduct vessel inspections and maintenance checks.
• Lead emergency response drills and manage crisis situations.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations departments as required.
• Engage in continuous training and professional development of crew.
• Ensure that all communications with external stakeholders are clear and effective.

Requirements

Education

• Master Mariner Certificate of Competency (Unlimited)
• Valid STCW certification

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a vessel master.

Certifications

• GMDSS Certification
• Additional safety and environmental training preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
