Job Description

As a Rail Yard Engineer, you will oversee the maintenance and operation of our rail yard facilities. You will coordinate train movements, ensure safety protocols are followed, and implement effective maintenance schedules. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient movement of trains and cargo.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe operation of the rail yard, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage and update maintenance schedules for all equipment in the yard.
• Conduct inspections of rail yard equipment and track infrastructure.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to address issues promptly.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
• Conduct regular safety drills and assessments.
• Assist in the development of procedural improvements for rail yard operations.
• Engage in effective communication with the operations team to facilitate smooth workflows.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in railway operations preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in rail yard management
