Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Science and Protection Technician to join our team in London. This role involves operating and maintaining waste treatment facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing hazardous waste streams. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate the treatment and disposal of hazardous waste effectively.
  • Ensure that all processes comply with established safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance troubleshooting and repairs as required.
  • Assist in emergencies and lead clean-up efforts when necessary.
  • Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to enhance safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and procedures for new staff.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and improving efficiency.
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections by providing required documentation and operational insights.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in hazardous waste management or environmental services
