Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Train Director to join our team. As a Train Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of train services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. You will work closely with various teams to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and optimise the overall performance of train services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day train operations and ensure all services run smoothly.
  • Implement operational improvements and monitor compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives for service enhancement.
  • Evaluate train service performance and utilise metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Convene regular team meetings to address operational challenges and share best practices.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and accountability within the train operations team.
  • Ensure effective communication of policies and procedures to all train crew members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for staff development.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on operational performance and initiatives.
  • Stay engaged with customer feedback and utilise it to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years in senior railway management or operations.
