Job Description

As a Copy Center Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our printing and copying services. You will be responsible for operating various photocopying and printing equipment to deliver high-quality outputs while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various printing and copying equipment, such as digital printers, photocopiers, and binding machines.
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate printing options, discussing requirements and providing cost estimates.
  • Ensure the timely completion of print jobs, adhering to quality standards and client specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels of printing supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on printing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate reproduction of graphics, layouts, and other materials.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate or training in printing, graphic design, or related field (desirable)
Experience
  • Prior experience in a copy center, print shop, or similar role is preferred
Technical Skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Knowledge of different paper types and sizes
Soft Skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with large format printing: Capabilities in handling large-scale print jobs for banners and posters.
  • Familiarity with digital prepress processes: Knowledge of pre-flighting files and preparing them for print is desirable.
