Job Description

As a Switch Tender, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of railway switches, turnouts, and other equipment. Your role will be crucial in monitoring train movement, facilitating communication among rail personnel, and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate switch operations with other rail personnel.
• Document and report any occurrences of irregularities in train movements.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during operations.
• Participate in regular safety training and drills.
• Assist in training new staff on switch operation protocols.

Advantageous

• Previous experience in railway operations or maintenance: Hands-on experience in railway operations will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for rail operations: Familiarity with the compliance standards in railway operations is preferred.
