Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support and therapy to individuals experiencing mental health issues. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of psychological well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs.
  • Develop treatment goals and ensure they align with client needs.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for peers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.
  • Educate clients and families about mental health issues.
  • Participate in case reviews and clinical meetings.
  • Advocate for clients in accessing community resources.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling is preferred
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health therapy, especially in settings focusing on substance abuse.
