Job Description

As a Log Grader and Scaler, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and preparation of ship decks. Your expertise will ensure that surfaces are stripped of rust and paint, preparing them for a pristine finish. Join our dedicated team and uphold the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of ship decks to determine necessary scaling areas.
  • Utilize various scaling tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to rigorous safety standards and practices during all tasks.
  • Lend assistance in preparing decks for painting and other finishing processes.
  • Ensure all tools are maintained and serviced regularly.
  • Promote adherence to waste management practices as per environmental protocols.
  • Work alongside others in a collaborative manner to enhance project outcomes.
  • Meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality results.
  • Document all scaling activities accurately and report findings.
  • Report any operational issues or safety risks to management promptly.

Requirements

Education
  • No specific qualifications required
  • Basic knowledge of scaling techniques is preferred
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in deck scaling or a related field preferred but not essential.
