Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. You will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems, improving existing designs, and ensuring high-quality construction practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design and a passion for engineering innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion.
  • Utilise 3D modelling tools to create and refine designs.
  • Work with suppliers to source materials and components.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new product ideas.
  • Coordinate with electrical and manufacturing engineers to ensure integrated solutions.
  • Document engineering processes and maintain project records.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns in best practices.
  • Evaluate existing systems for potential upgrades and efficiencies.
  • Support testing phases and interpret results.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
