Job Description

As a Parking Enforcement Specialist with Local Council, you will be pivotal in maintaining traffic order and enforcing parking regulations throughout Manchester. Your role is essential for public safety and smooth traffic flow. You will engage with the community, educate the public on parking regulations, and contribute to the overall well-being of your neighbourhood.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol designated areas and monitor for parking violations.
  • Enforce local parking regulations and maintain traffic order.
  • Issue tickets and citations as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with the public to educate them on parking rules.
  • Maintain logs and documentation of enforcement activities.
  • Engage in community outreach to discuss benefits of compliance.
  • Tailor parking management strategies based on observed trends.
  • Collaborate with other public services for effective enforcement.
  • Review parking infrastructures for maintenance issues.
  • Provide reports on enforcement activities and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience in customer service or public relations is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of parking laws

Certifications
  • SIA License (required)
  • First Aid Training (advantageous)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous
