Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Swansea. The ideal candidate will share our passion for animal welfare and possess strong clinical skills. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal illnesses and injuries, conducting surgical procedures, and advising pet owners on the best care practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care from admission through discharge.
• Handle laboratory tests and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment plans.
• Evaluate and manage chronic conditions in pets.
• Oversee the pharmacy and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Ensure high standards of care and professionalism.
• Mentor less experienced veterinary staff.
• Document all patient interactions and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Additional certifications in animal surgery preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a clinical setting preferred

• Expertise in anaesthesia

Languages

• English: Fluent
