Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Welder to join our team and contribute to the fabrication and maintenance of boilers. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in welding and possess a strong understanding of boiler systems.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble boiler components using various welding techniques.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials for welding projects.
  • Attend safety meetings and adhere to site safety protocols.
  • Document and report any defects or issues found during inspections.
  • Work closely with the design team to provide feedback on boiler designs.
  • Assist in training junior welders in proper welding techniques.
  • Utilise welding machines for various welding assignments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and tools.
  • Prepare reports on welding operations for management review.
  • Participate in ongoing safety and skills training.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial welding
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
Soft Skills
  • Teamwork
  • Adaptability

Advantageous

  • Additional welding certifications: Certifications like CSWIP or similar are advantageous.
  • Experience in boiler maintenance and repairs: Practical skills in ongoing maintenance of equipment.
