Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Craft Center Director to lead our operations and inspire creativity within our vibrant community. The ideal candidate will have experience in arts management and an understanding of craft disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement marketing strategies to enhance the centre's visibility.
  • Organise community outreach initiatives to engage local residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of craft programs and workshops.
  • Develop fundraising strategies and grant applications for new projects.
  • Coordinate events that celebrate local crafts and artisans.
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers for material sourcing.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that attracts diverse groups.
  • Implement health and safety regulations relevant to craft activities.
  • Facilitate feedback from staff and participants to improve operations.
  • Enhance community engagement through collaborative projects and partnerships.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related discipline
  • Experience in managing similar organizations is beneficial
