Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Metal-Refining Furnace Operator to join our team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of metal-refining furnaces, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage furnace operations and monitor temperatures for quality output.
• Evaluate the condition of metals and components during the refining process.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and records.
• Assist in training new team members in operating procedures.
• Implement improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education

• Basic education (GCSEs or equivalent) preferred.

Experience

• No prior experience required; manufacturing experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with heavy machinery
• Health and Safety knowledge

Advantageous
