Job Description

We are looking for an IT Security Specialist to join our cybersecurity team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in protecting networks and systems from cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor enterprise security solutions.
• Review system configurations for security compliance.
• Conduct employee security awareness training and workshops.
• Manage and support security infrastructure, including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Conduct investigations of security breaches and provide detailed reports.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Professional security certifications (CISSP, CEH, etc.) are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years working in a cybersecurity role
