Field Service Technician, Keighley in Engineering

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to provide technical support and maintenance services for our engineering products. Based in Keighley, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient service. Your ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively is key to this role.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure equipment at client sites.
• Provide comprehensive training to clients on equipment operation.
• Maintain and repair machinery and other equipment.
• Manage service parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Identify and report potential product improvements.
• Engage with clients to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
• Assist in preparing quotations for repair services.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss service issues and solutions.

Requirements

Education

• HND in Engineering or relevant technical qualification
• BEng in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar field service role

Technical Skills

• Troubleshooting abilities
• Pneumatics and hydraulics

Soft Skills

• Customer service orientation
• Adaptability

Certifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• Relevant engineering qualifications or licenses

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with PLC programming: Basic understanding of PLC programming for automation systems.
