Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating woodworking machinery while ensuring that production standards and quality are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to woodworking machinery excluding sawing operations.
• Ensure accurate measurements and specifications are followed.
• Implement quality control measures during production.
• Diagnose and repair minor machine issues when necessary.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production performance.
• Train and mentor junior staff in machinery operations.
• Maintain inventory of required materials for production.
• Enforce safety measures in all areas of operation.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training in woodworking or manufacturing

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a woodworking environment

Technical Skills

• Machine maintenance
• Quality control techniques

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience using CAD software: Knowledge of computer-aided design software for woodworking projects.
• Previous supervisory experience: Experience leading a small team in a manufacturing environment.
