Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Vertical Boring Mill Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining vertical boring mills to produce high quality machined parts. Candidates with a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality will excel in this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up boring operations by configuring machine settings and selecting suitable tooling.
• Conduct ongoing checks to ensure quality control throughout the machining process.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure continuous operation.
• Keep a clean workspace and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Train junior operators on best practices and safety procedures.
• Ensure documentation of production metrics and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certificate in machining is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Experience with CNC programming
• Machining tool setup

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CNC programming certification
• OSHA safety certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles: Experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques to optimize production.
• Additional certifications in machining or related field: Certification in specialized machining processes or relevant practices.
