Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Foundry Patternmaker to join our team. In this role, you will create and maintain patterns used in the production of metal castings, ensuring they meet rigorous quality standards. Your attention to detail and experience with various patternmaking techniques will be essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create patterns tailored to specific casting requirements.
  • Utilize CAD software for pattern design and documentation.
  • Collaborate with product engineers to troubleshoot and enhance pattern design.
  • Oversee the assembly of patterns and ensure proper alignment and fit during production.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements in the patternmaking process.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations and promote sustainability practices in the foundry.
  • Develop best practices for pattern maintenance and storage.
  • Conduct training sessions on new techniques and technologies in patternmaking.
  • Provide support to production teams with any pattern-related issues they encounter.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in patternmaking or a related field
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in foundry patternmaking preferred
