Health and Safety Engineer

Job Description

As a Health and Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive health and safety consultancy services to our clients. This includes assessing workplace hazards, developing safety protocols, and providing training and support to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
• Advise clients on incident reporting and investigations.
• Implement corrective actions and follow up on health and safety issues.
• Develop safety management systems tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders as necessary.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor and review the effectiveness of health and safety training programs.
• Compile data for internal assessments and client reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
• Professional certifications such as IOSH Managing Safely

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in health and safety roles

• Environmental Management Systems

Certifications

• CSCS Card

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in auditing health and safety systems: Demonstrated experience in auditing and improving health and safety systems for organizations.
• Familiarity with international health and safety standards: Knowledge of ISO standards and their implementation within organizations.
