Job Description

A traffic signal mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic lights and other signal systems on roads and highways. This role involves working closely with engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient operation of traffic signalling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and inspect traffic signal systems regularly.
  • Diagnose and solve issues with traffic signals and controllers.
  • Collaborate with other departments for system upgrades.
  • Implement safety protocols during installations and repairs.
  • Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
  • Relevant certification in Electrical Engineering
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
