Job Description

As a Medical Billing Supervisor, you will lead and manage our medical billing team to ensure precise billing processes and compliance with regulations. Your expertise will support revenue cycle management, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the medical billing team.
  • Manage and monitor billing processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Review and resolve complex billing issues and disputes.
  • Develop and implement efficient billing workflows and procedures.
  • Train and mentor billing staff on best practices and industry changes.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as coding and finance, to optimise billing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including insurance companies and healthcare providers.
  • Prepare and analyse billing reports, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing codes, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is an asset

  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing and a supervisory role
