Telecommunications Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunication systems while ensuring optimal efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and timelines for telecommunications installations.
• Evaluate and recommend new telecommunications technologies and equipment.
• Assist in maintaining and updating existing telecommunications systems.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors for project execution.
• Ensure network security measures are implemented effectively.
• Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of telecommunication equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
• Participate in troubleshooting escalated technical issues.
• Assist in preparing budgets and cost estimates for projects.
• Document all aspects of telecommunications projects for compliance and reference.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or relevant field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a telecommunications role
