Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Animal Welfare Officer to join our team in Corby. The role involves ensuring the welfare of animals in our care, including assessments and rehoming placements. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be compassionate, and have a proven track record in animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for animal rights and welfare within the community.
  • Conduct education sessions for schools and organizations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving animal welfare services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of welfare programs.
  • Provide crisis intervention for animals in distress.
  • Participate in local animal welfare committees and initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in animal facilities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Behaviour or veterinary sciences
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with animals in a welfare context

  • Knowledge of Animal Laws

Certifications
  • Pet First Aid Certification
