Job Description

As an Animal Welfare Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safety and well-being of animals within our care. You will manage cases of animal neglect and abuse, conduct investigations, and work closely with local authorities. Your role is pivotal in educating the public about responsible pet ownership and promoting our mission of animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Manage animal welfare cases from start to finish.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare legislation.
  • Participate in community events to raise awareness.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars for pet owners.
  • Evaluate and improve current animal welfare programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or Clinical Animal Behaviour
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in animal welfare roles
