Job Description

As a Step-Down Nurse at HealthCare Solutions Ltd., you will play a crucial role in patient recovery. You will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients transitioning from intensive care, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Administer intravenous therapies and ensure the safe handling of medications.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
  • Work collaboratively with other nursing staff and health professionals.
  • Assist in the training of new nursing staff and healthcare assistants.
  • Document all patient care activities using EMR systems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Respond to patient calls and address needs efficiently.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
  • Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a step-down or critical care unit.
