Job Description

The Gear Setter will be responsible for setting up and maintaining machinery used in the production of gears. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and precision in order to ensure efficient and effective production.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to design and optimise manufacturing processes
  • Conduct trials on new machinery or materials
  • Train junior operators on safe operation and maintenance practices
  • Monitor production schedules and report variances
  • Ensure adherence to ISO quality standards

Requirements

Education
  • A Level 3 apprenticeship in engineering or equivalent qualification
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
