Ski Patroller

Job Description

Join our ski patrol team as a Ski Patroller, where you'll provide essential emergency medical and rescue services to skiers and snowboarders, ensuring a safe environment on the slopes.

Responsibilities

• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies on the slopes.
• Conduct regular inspections of ski trails to ensure safety for users.
• Provide guidance and support to guests regarding safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate reports of incidents and patient care.
• Participate in community outreach to promote ski safety.
• Support team members in emergency drills and training exercises.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• First aid and CPR certification

Experience

• Desirable experience in first aid or emergency services

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate snowmobiles and sleds
• Physical fitness and stamina

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Time management skills

Certifications

• Advanced life support certification
• Ski patrol certification (e.g., NSP, OEC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• French: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional languages: Ability to converse with non-English-speaking guests enhances safety communication.
• Experience with avalanche control: Previous work with avalanche prevention and management is a plus.
