Job Description

As a Pot Builder, you'll play a vital role in our production team. Your responsibilities will include operating pottery wheels, applying glazes, and overseeing the firing processes. We value creativity and skill, making this an ideal position for artisans looking to shine in the pottery industry.

Responsibilities

  • Using pottery wheels, hand-building techniques, and molds to create various types and sizes of pots.
  • Applying glazes, paints, and decorative finishes to enhance the appearance and functionality of the pots.
  • Operating kilns and monitoring firing processes to achieve desired results.
  • Ensuring product quality by carefully inspecting finished pots for any defects or imperfections.
  • Keeping accurate records of materials used, production quantities, and kiln firing schedules.
  • Collaborating with the design team to develop new pot designs and prototypes.
  • Participating in team meetings, contributing ideas for process improvement and product innovation.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Certifications or courses in pottery or artisan crafts would be advantageous.
Experience
  • 3+ years in a pottery-related role preferred.
