Job Description

We are seeking talented Model Makers to join our team, specializing in metal and plastic fabrication. In this role, you will create high-quality prototypes that push the boundaries of design and engineering. You will work closely with our design engineers to produce models that meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop working prototypes that meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Set up and operate machinery for model making and fabrication.
• Review and revise drawings and plans to ensure feasibility of designs.
• Assist in training junior model makers and apprentices in fabrication techniques.
• Participate in project meetings to provide input on design and production methods.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in prototype fabrication and model making

Technical Skills

• Advanced CNC Techniques
• Plastic Welding

Soft Skills

• Creative Problem Solving
• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with injection moulding processes: Understanding of injection moulding and its applications in prototype creation.
• Skills in electronics integration: Knowledge of integrating electronics into models for functional prototypes.
