Construction Project Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Inspector in Rochdale to oversee and verify construction activities. You will ensure that projects adhere to safety regulations and quality standards, playing a key role in project success.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.
• Document and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve technical and compliance-related challenges.
• Support the preparation of compliance reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Evaluate subcontractors’ performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior inspection staff.
• Manage and maintain inspection equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with local authorities on compliance matters.
• Facilitate resolution of conflicts and disputes on-site.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, CIHT) is preferable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in construction inspection or a similar role

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Proficient in using inspection tools and software
• Understanding of safety regulations and building codes
