Responsibilities

• Design and manufacture bespoke furniture items.
• Utilize woodworking machinery and tools to fabricate components.
• Work closely with designers to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise.
• Participate in training and workshops to improve skills and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
• Assist in inventory management of materials and supplies.
• Document production processes and keep accurate records.
• Collaborate with the sales team to incorporate customer feedback.
• Mentor junior staff in woodworking techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Education

• Formal training or apprenticeship in furniture making
• NVQ Level 3 in Furniture Making - preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in bespoke furniture making.

Technical Skills

• CNC Machinery Operation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of historical furniture styles and techniques: Expertise in traditional woodworking methods and styles.
