Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk assessment and the ability to develop bespoke insurance policies that cater to the diverse needs of our clients. You will play a vital role in evaluating insurance applications and determining coverage terms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the financial status of clients to inform underwriting decisions.
• Utilise software systems to process applications and manage underwriting tasks.
• Assist in developing underwriting guidelines and strategies.
• Provide feedback on policy performance and suggest improvements.
• Participate in client meetings to understand needs and build relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification in Insurance is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry

• Regulatory Compliance

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute

Languages

• English: Fluent
