Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our finance team in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of accounting principles and be proficient in preparing financial statements and managing financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and modelling.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management.
  • Ensure accuracy in record-keeping and financial reporting.
  • Support financial audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Implement financial controls and procedures.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist in the development of financial policies.
  • Provide mentorship to junior finance staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Master's degree in Business Administration is advantageous
Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance
