Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Brickmason and Blockmason to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining walls, partitions, and various structures using brick, stone, and concrete blocks. Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of building codes are essential.

Responsibilities

• Construct walls, partitions, and other structures using brick, stone, and block materials.
• Follow blueprints and architectural plans to determine layout and materials needed.
• Apply mortar or other adhesives to bind materials together effectively.
• Ensure structures are level, straight, and plumb throughout the building process.
• Utilize various tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Assist in training junior team members in masonry techniques.
• Participate in site safety meetings and training.
• Perform regular maintenance and care on all masonry tools.
• Document daily tasks and report progress to the site manager.

Requirements

Education

• Level 2 NVQ in Bricklaying or equivalent
• Experience with large construction projects is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in brickwork

• Masonry Skills

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with eco-friendly materials: Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and materials.
