Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Community Dietitian to enhance the wellbeing of our Colchester residents. Your work will involve nutritional assessments, education sessions, and the design of health-focused strategies that promote healthy lifestyles. This role fosters collaboration with healthcare providers to meet individual and community needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate dietary habits and health status to identify nutritional needs.
  • Create comprehensive meal plans and nutrition education resources.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Lead community nutrition programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct follow-ups to assess the effectiveness of dietary interventions.
  • Provide counselling and support for patients managing chronic illnesses.
  • Implement strategies to promote nutritional literacy within the community.
  • Advise on food service management in healthcare settings.
  • Enhance community engagement through awareness campaigns.
  • Utilise data to drive improvements in dietary services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
  • Master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in community nutrition or public health
