Histology Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a certified Histology Technician to join our dedicated laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for examination and ensuring accuracy throughout the process. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Log and prepare tissue specimens for processing.
• Conduct microtomy and staining of tissue samples.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure laboratory compliance with safety protocols.
• Perform quality assurance checks on all prepared samples.
• Assist pathologists with histological evaluations.
• Resolve any technical issues with specimen preparations.
• Contribute to new procedure development.
• Keep abreast of the latest histology techniques and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Certification as a Histologic Technician
• Completion of an accredited Histology Technician Program

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in a histology lab or similar environment.
