Job Description

As an Oil Well Service Operator Helper, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and operation of oil well drilling and production equipment. This position necessitates a proactive approach to safety, teamwork, and a readiness to adapt and learn various tasks in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the rig-up and rig-down of the drilling equipment.
• Operate and maintain drilling equipment, such as tongs, wrenches, and elevators.
• Mix and maintain drilling fluids.
• Assist with the running and pulling of drill pipe and casing.
• Handle and transport drilling materials and supplies.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping duties on the rig.
• Follow stringent safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Preferred experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas industry.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of heavy machinery operation
• Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Strong work ethic

Certifications

• Forklift Certification (if applicable)
• Confined Space Entry certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in electrical maintenance: Knowledge of electrical systems in a drilling environment.
• Experience in a similar role: Prior experience in oil rig settings preferred.
