Event Planner

Job Description

As an Event Planner at Event Innovations Ltd., you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of a variety of events, including corporate functions, weddings, and exhibitions. We’re looking for a creative individual who can manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring all details are meticulously arranged.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative ideas for events including themes and activities.
• Coordinate transportation and accommodation for guests as necessary.
• Assist with marketing efforts to promote events through social media and other platforms.
• Monitor event budget and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the planning process.
• Engage with participants and teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Prepare reports detailing event budgets, expenses, and client feedback.
• Training and mentoring junior staff within the event planning team.
• Conduct site visits to potential venues to assess suitability.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in large scale event planning

Technical Skills

• Event Management Software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite)
• Social Media Marketing

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Creativity

Certifications

• Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in other languages is a plus for international events.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices: Experience in implementing eco-friendly practices for events.
